With over 20 years’ experience as a graphic designer, mostly in house, covering a wide range of marketing and media projects for both print and digital requirements, creating artwork from initial concept and design briefs through to final submission as well as providing consultancy and interim assignments to ensure client expectations were met.

Developing our employer brand across internal and external channels, sharing our justice story to attract and recruit senior talent to our department and transforming complex information into visually appealing media for our candidates.

Responsible for designing and managing all of our digital content and assets, building a new content library from scratch through sourcing and creating new images, audio and video content that will be used across a number of platforms.

  • Designing, creating and developing a suite of professional online material that is compatible across digital platforms and complies with branding guidelines.

Achievements:

  • Produced a “piece to film” for Central Institute of Technology, Perth. Filmed an interview with the Managing Director and edited the video by animating the questions asked, cleaning up the soundtrack before adding a musical soundtrack to make the video more professional. The final rendered video was used internally on the Central intranet.
  • Performed event photographer duties for Luna Palace Cinema, Leederville, taking photos of the people who attended the interactive showing of Monty Python’s “The Holy Grail”. Images were used on the Luna Palace FaceBook page.

Graphic Designer

To manage and deliver key messages and communications content through the Highways Agency’s corporate channels, supply chain and partners.

Designing and implementing the corporate standard for all customer facing and internal marketing and sales tools, managing version control for all media.

Supporting the marketing team with infographics and video for high profile customers, such as Department for Transport.

Producing exhibition and event materials, including roll-up banners, large format posters and leaflets.

Achievements:

  • Introduced a video editing facility within the Head Office and edited a number of videos to help promote key messages to the public regarding road schemes, such as Smart Motorways, and to highlight and update the staff on the progress of major internal projects.
  • Produced the 2013-2014 Highways Agency Annual Report, taking the artwork for the previous year’s report and completely transforming it using a new pulled quote style introduction to begin each new section and added full page photography to end each section. Organised the limited final print run and ensured that the digital version followed the guidelines set by the government with regard to website accessibility.
  • Designed and implemented an interactive PDF presentation that was used for a high profile Board meeting and has subsequently continued to be used as a training tool internally.
  • Played a key role in the production of all external marketing material used by the project team for the launch of the new Dartford Crossing and Dart Charge road scheme.
